STS 2021 Online: The Neoaorta and Beyond

The dilated aortic root can be consequence of connective tissue aortopathy or a variety of congenital heart repairs that place of the pulmonary valve in the aortic position. The potential for complications related to dilation and aortic regurgitation in these patients remains a long term challenge. The session includes two invited lectures covering management of neoaortic root dilatation after the Ross procedure and management of the dilated aortic root in the athlete.
