STS 2021 Online: A Change of Heart: Implications of the New Allocation System

The new heart allocation system that went into effect in last 2018 has impacted the way we surgically treat heart failure. This session will give insights into the current state of heart transplantation including non-traditional donor utilization as well as the impact of the new allocation on mechanical circulatory support devices.
