STS 2021 Online: Basic Science Research in General Thoracic Surgery

This session includes exciting updates and discussion regarding molecular signatures of immune related RNA in NSCLC, ischemia-reperfusion injury and GERD. New data on understanding PD ligand activation pathway in mesothelioma will be discussed. Novel work on detection of radiation induced injury will also be discussed.

*Unless otherwise noted, speakers have nothing to disclose.

Presentations:

1. Identification of novel subtypes and prognostic signature base on immune-related lncRNA in stage I-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer - Lintong Yao

2. Inhibition of Cyclin Dependent Kinase 4/6 Overcomes Resistance to PD-1 Blockade in Malignant Mesothelioma - Hyun-Sung Lee

3. Expression of Adhesion Molecules in a Surgical Gastroduodenal Reflux Model - Anna Gergen

4. Sitagliptin (DPP-4 Inhibitor) Attenuates Lung Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury In A Mouse Model - Lawek Berzenji

5. Endothelial TRPV4 Channels Mediate Lung Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury - Nathan Haywood
