STS/EACTS/ESTS Latin America Thoracic Surgery Symposium: Pleuropulmonary Granulomatous Disease
The STS/EACTS/ESTS Latin America Thoracic Surgery Symposium: Pleuropulmonary Granulomatous Disease featured an international panel of experts who reviewed the latest interventions and advances in the medical and surgical treatment of tuberculosis (TB), surgical management of non-tuberculous granulomatosis, and management of postoperative complications.
The program was presented in English, with simultaneous translation in Spanish and Portuguese.
While no continuing medical education credit is offered for this activity, you may claim a certificate of participation after completing a course evaluation.
This symposium is aimed at all members of the surgical team including thoracic surgeons, anesthesiologists, pulmonologists, nursing personnel, residents, and medical students.
At the end of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss indications and surgical management of pleuropulmonary tuberculosis.
- Define treatment strategies for multi-drug resistant TB.
- Discuss indications and surgical management of non-tuberculous granulomatosis.
- Identify the proper management of postoperative complications.
