The re-implantation method for valve-sparing root repair has undergone multiple iterations since its inception. While it is a complex procedure, it can be performed in a safe and reproducible manner. The following operative video, and associated narrative, will focus on the key considerations regarding preoperative patient selection, intraoperative assessment and decision-making, and long-term follow-up, which are critical to ensure a durable repair and favorable outcomes.
