Accreditation Information 

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.  

The Society of Thoracic Surgeons designates this enduring material for a maximum of 100 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in each activity. 

When you complete an evaluation and claim CME credit for an STS activity, you agree to The Society of Thoracic Surgeons reporting your credit completion information to the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).    

Transfer of data meets the credit reporting requirements of the American Board of Surgery (ABS) and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS).  Physicians must claim both CME and MOC in the Learning Center to report earned credit to ABS and ABTS. 

All records will be transferred to ABS and ABTS within 30 days of claiming credit.
